What is in it
- How Much Is EnoughThis section turns "a two-week supply" into written numbers for your household: gallons of water, calories of food, pounds of dry staples, and the special lines for a baby, a pet or a medicine. Finish it and you will have a target to shop against.
- Choosing Foods You Will Actually EatA pantry only helps if people will eat what is in it. This section shows you how to pick familiar, shelf-stable, low-cooking food, and how to adapt the list for special diets, allergies, babies, older adults and pets.
- Water: Store It, Treat It, Rotate ItWater is the easiest part of a two-week supply to build, and the part you will miss most if it is gone. This section gives you a number to shop for, containers that work, a safe way to treat doubtful water, and a rotation habit.
- Storage: Where and How to Keep ItGood food loses its value if it spoils, gets eaten by pests or sits where you cannot find it. This section shows you where to put your two-week supply, how to protect it, how to read the dates on it and how to keep it fresh by using the oldest food first.
- Budget and Avoiding WasteA two-week pantry should not strain your budget or fill your trash can. This section gives you a weekly spend limit, simple ways to add stock slowly, and rules that keep food from going to waste.
- The 12-Week Build PlanThis section turns your Worksheet 1 numbers into a week-by-week shopping plan. Follow it, check your calories at each milestone, and you can have a two-week supply in about 12 weeks, depending on your household and your budget.
- Cooking and Eating Without PowerWhen the power is out, the safest meal is the one that needs no fire at all. This section shows you how to eat well, cook only when you must, keep carbon monoxide out of your home and plan fuel for up to four weeks.
- Fridge and Freezer Food SafetyWhen the power goes out, your fridge and freezer become a clock. This section gives you the numbers, the order to eat things, and a clear chart for what to keep and what to throw away.
- Inventory and RotationA pantry only works if you know what is in it and keep it fresh. This section gives you a simple inventory, a rotation habit, a calendar of short checks and a plan for after an event.

Part 1
How Much Is Enough
This section turns "a two-week supply" into written numbers for your household: gallons of water, calories of food, pounds of dry staples, and the special lines for a baby, a pet or a medicine. Finish it and you will have a target to shop against.
Why two weeks
Most people have heard of a 3-day kit. That is a good size for a go bag (a small bag you can grab if you must leave home). The American Red Cross lists two sizes for the same basics of water and easy-to-prepare food: a 3-day supply if you must evacuate, and a 2-week supply for staying at home.
You do not need to reach it in one trip. Washington suggests adding one can to each shopping trip, and Ready.gov suggests buying one extra item each time you shop. Washington also spreads its plan over a year, one step per month. In this guide you will build it over about 12 weeks, with no panic buying and no wasted money.

Questions
What exactly do I get?
Two PDFs in one download. The Quick Pack (13 pages) is the short version: the one-page plan, the checklists and the sheets to fill in and keep. The Full Guide (118 pages) has the reasons, worked examples and everything else. Open the Quick Pack first. Both are laid out for US Letter paper. You print them, or read them on a tablet or computer. There is nothing physical to wait for.
How do I get it after I pay?
Payment is handled by Payhip, a payment service for digital products. As soon as it goes through, you see a page with your download link, and the same link is emailed to you. This website never sees your card details.
Can I print it?
Yes. It is made for printing: big type, plenty of space to write, and worksheets you fill in by hand. Print the whole thing, or only the pages you need. Print at 100% size on US Letter (it also prints fine on A4).
Is it based on real sources?
Yes. Every instruction traces to an official source such as Ready.gov and FEMA, the CDC, the National Weather Service, the American Red Cross, the US Department of Energy and the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The sources are listed at the end, with tags next to the items they support. It was fact-checked and safety-reviewed before publication. It is still general information, not professional advice, so check anything critical with your local authorities.
Is it just the free plan on a PDF?
No. The free personal plan gives you a checklist and your top priorities. The guides go further: decision rules, schedules, scenario walkthroughs and worksheets you fill in, written for one situation in depth.
Can I get a refund?
Read the free sample and the full contents list first, so you know what you are buying. Because this is a digital download, we cannot refund it once you have downloaded it. If you have not downloaded it yet, email hello@afternormal.co within 14 days and you will be refunded. If the file is faulty, will not open or is not what we described, email us and we will fix it, replace it or refund you. See the terms for the details.
Will I get updates?
Official guidance changes. If we revise this guide you will be able to download the new edition from the same link.
