The personal planner

The planner runs entirely in your web browser. The answers you give, including answers about health, age, household and home, are not sent to us or to anyone else. They are not put in the web address, and they are kept in your browser tab only: they disappear when you close the tab or press Start over.

There is one exception, and it is your choice. If you tick "Save my plan on this device", your answers are also kept in this browser (not on our servers), so you can come back to them later or return from the checkout page. Untick it, or press Start over, and they are removed. If you open the Personal Plan Book and type into its forms, what you type is kept the same way, on your device only.

If you print your plan, save it as a PDF or copy it as text, that copy is yours alone.

Where you are

When you open the plan or the "What's happening" page, our website host (Cloudflare) tells the page which country, and for some countries which state or nation, your connection appears to be in. We use that only to pre-fill the country menu so you do not have to find it. We do not store it, log it or send it anywhere else, and you can change the menu at any time. If it is wrong or missing, the page falls back to your browser's language setting, which never leaves your device.

Buying a guide

When you point at or press a Buy button, your browser loads Payhip's checkout script and the checkout opens on top of our page (or in a small window, depending on your browser). From that moment Payhip handles your details under its own privacy notice, and we never see your card details. Nothing is loaded from Payhip until you point at or press a Buy button.

The Personal Plan Book unlock code

When you enter an unlock code, our site sends that code to Payhip to check that it is real and still active, and nothing else. To slow down guessing, we keep a scrambled one-way counter of tries from your connection for two minutes, then it disappears. If the code is real, a signed token is kept on your own device so the book opens again later. What you type into the book's forms stays on your device only.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.

When we add an email sign-up

It will be separate from the planner. We will only ask for your email address, we will say clearly what we will send you, and we will never connect your email address to your planner answers.
